A world class guitar hero, a Grammy nominated songwriter and composer, an international recording artist with over 20 acclaimed solo albums to date, and a soundtrack composer for film and television, Gary Lucas is a NYC-based musician who does both extensive solo work and various creative collaborations with musicians all over the world.

While in his mid-twenties, he became a lead guitarist of Captain Beefheart’s; later on he formed a creative alliance with singer Jeff Buckley, becoming an author and coauthor of some of the most famous songs in the singer’s repertoire .

Numerous solo albums, those of his Gods and Monsters band, collaboration albums with world music artists from India and China brought Gary a New York Times’ penned title of “Guitarist of 1,000 Ideas.”
